Pay Your Bill

The District offers several payment options: cash, check, money orders, and online payments. Credit cards (MasterCard, Vist, Discover and American Express) are accepted both in the office and online.  A $26.00 fee will be assessed for all non-sufficient fund payments.

To pay your bill online, click here

Please print a receipt when you are finished, we will need the Receipt Identification Number.

This service is being offered through the State of Colorado. There is an administration fee that will be assessed at the time of your payment, which is paid to the State of Colorado and not North Washington Street Water and Sanitation District. You will be advised of the administrative charge in advance and have a chance to cancel your transaction before authorizing the final payment. You also have the option to pay online with a personal or company check. There is a small surcharge for paying your bill with a credit card and a $1.00 charge when paying your bill online with your checking account. There is no charge if you pay your bill with a check in the District Office.

If your water service is subject to disconnection because of a past due status, make sure you contact our office on the morning of the scheduled shut off, after you have made your payment. If you call BEFORE 9:00 a.m. of the scheduled disconnection, we can pull your paperwork and stop the "shut-off" from happening. If it’s after normal business hours and your service was disconnected, just show your receipt to our staff member and service will be restored before 9:00 p.m. We have changed our office hours and are now open at 7:00 a.m. and will close at 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you have any questions, call us and we will be happy to help you.

I Need An Extension On My Bill

If you can’t make a payment and want an extension, make sure you contact our office at 303-288-6664 before 9:00 a.m. the morning of your scheduled shut-off. You will be given a confirmation number at the time of your call.
For those customers who need a little extra time to pay their bills, we offer 3 types of extensions.

Your extension options are:
  • 1 day extension – this will give you an additional 24 hours to pay. We must receive your payment by 9:00 a.m. the morning following your scheduled shut-off.
  • 3 day extension – this will give you an additional 3 days to pay. When you call us, we will give you a date that your bill is due. Again, we must receive your payment before 9:00 a.m.on  the day your payment has been rescheduled.
  • 10 day extension- this option will give you an additional 10 days to pay
    • This extension requires your signature before 9:00 a.m. the morning following your scheduled shut-off. If you can’t come in to sign the extension, we can fax it or email it to you but it must be signed. Failure to sign the extension by 9:00 a.m. the morning after the scheduled shut-off will result in disconnection of water service and an assessment of a shut-off fee.

Extra time on an already existing extension will not be granted.

What Is The Deadline For Paying My Bill?

9:00 a.m. is the important time to remember, whether it is for a delinquent account, returned check or unsigned extension. Exceptions will not be made.

Please keep in mind that holidays and weekends may interfere with the timeliness of any mail delivery method of payment. Therefore, if you are unsure whether your payment will make it to our office in time, we suggest that you pay your bill online or personally bring your payment into our office. This is especially important when holidays fall close to a shut-off date, because 'no mail delivery' days will prevent your payment from making it to our office in time.

Beware:  Many of our customers pay their bills through their own bank which depends on their bank to mail a payment to our office. Please be advised that automatic payments through your bank may not process instantly and could result in a late payment to your account.

If your account is delinquent and close to a shut-off status, the payment delay will make the situation worse.  If this is your situation, we strongly suggest that you drop your payment off in person, put the payment in the night drop box or pay your bill on line.
