Colorado New Energy Improvement District (NEID)

The NEID is a statewide special statutory district created to implement a property assessed clean energy financing in Colorado governed by a seven-member board of directors. The NEID created and governs a Commercial Proprty Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) program which enables owners of eligible commercial and industrial buildings to finance up to 100% of energy efficiency, renewable energy and water conservation eligible improvements. Financing is provided by private capital providers at competitive rates with repayment terms up to 25 years.  Sustainable Real Estate Solutions adminsiters the C-PACE program on behalf of the NEID. Participating Counties 

The District's boundaries are determined by counties that opt to join the District through a resoltuion of a Board of County Commissioners. Commercial and industrial building owners in those counties are eligible to particpate in the program. As of October 2019, the C-PACE program has 31 of Colorado's 64 counties opted into the District. For more informaiton about the opt-in process, visit the program's website.
