The Administrators office handles general County Administration, Land Use Administration, Finance and Human Resources.
Appications for permits, including but not limited to building, septic & road access are processed in this office. Additionally this office prepares materials for The Planning & Zining Commission and teh board of Adjustments.
The Administrators office prepares, presents, and reports teh annual budget and related documentation. This office overees preperation and publication of periodic financial statements.
Finally, the Administrator's office also manages the Mineral County Airport and the new Amethyst addition to the Mineral County Cemetery.
Board of Adjustment
The Board of Adjustment is authorized to grant variances from the strict application of the Mineral County Zoning Regulations. Applicants must prove a hardship or practical difficulty to the BOA, explaining why their proposed construction cannot be done within the requirements of the Zoning Regulations. The BOA also is authorized to hear appeals from determinations or requirements in the enforcement of the Zoning Regulations.
Planning & Zoning
The purpose of the Planning Commission, hereby created, shall be to review all land use applications prior to submission of the same to the Board and to make formal recommendations based upon such review and on the provisions of the Mineral County Zoning and Subdivision Regulations, as well as any related Regulations or plans.
