Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Colorado: State & National Resources

Mineral County Calender

Governor Polis issued Executie Order D 2020 091 Safer at Home and in the Vast, Great Outdoors on June 1, 2020 and has amended it since.  State Public Health Order 20-28 was issued concurrently and was amended 9 times.  Subsequently State Public Health Order 20-35 was issued defining the Safer At Home Dial, this PHO became the authorizing document for the Safer At Home level of restrictions.  At the time of this issuance Mineral County was classified as a Level 1 (or Blue) County because of our minimal case counts.  PHO 20-35 has been amended twice since then.  The last amendment became effective October 23, 2020.  This amendment was issued due to the alarming increase in hospitalizations due to COVID-19.  This amendment limits personal gathering to no more than 10 people from no more than two separate households.  On November 2 the Governor issued Executive Order 2020 237 that refines the COVID Dial and lays out stronger enforcement tools. Today, November 3, 2020, PHO 20-36 was issued that supports the Exective Roder 2020 235. The Executive Orders and amendments and accompanying most recently Amended State Public Health Orders as well as the Mandated Mask Executive Order as well as the COVID Dial and the capacity restriction for each level and a more specific explanation of the capacity restriction for Mineral County can be read here.

Silverthread Public Health was notified on August 7 that we we can one again operate under the variances we received in June since our case rate has lowered and stabilized.  These variances are still in effect but can be limited by State Orders.  Mineral County will once again be operating under these documents effective 11/17/2020.  Please read and stay engaged.
