Childhood Cancer Awareness Special License Plate created by House Bill 18-1255 was effective January 1, 2019.
Requirements are: a one-time donation to the Morgan Adams Foundation https://www.morganadamsfoundation.org/licenseplate/ is required to qualify for the Childhood Cancer Awareness Special License Plate.
The Morgan Adams Foundation will issue a certificate to qualified individuals. This certificate can be presented in either a physical copy or electronically to Motor Vehicle to obtain the plate.
These plates can be personalized on line at mydmv.colorado.gov/?Link=PersonalizedPlate or in person at a county motor vehicle office. A one-time fee of $60.00 will be charged upon approval and a $25.00 fee will be collected each year thereafter. The logo will be removed from all personalized plates.
Plates can be issued to Passenger cars, trucks, motorcycles, and noncommercial or recreational motor vehicles that do not exceed 16,000 pounds.
This plate is issued through the print on demand process and will be mailed to the customer.
County Offices will be closed on Monday, February 18, 2019 for Presidents Day.
