Recorder's Notes by Pamela Bacon, Logan County Clerk and Recorder
MOTOR VEHICLE ALERTS:
Did you know that Motor Vehicle Offices operate on a 35 year old DOS based computer system? Not for long because August 6, 2018 we go live with a modern windows based computer system! The new DRIVES system will help us give better customer service and provide customers with more options to go online at their convenience at home. (Sneak peak of options coming soon)
Please be aware that the State Department of Revenue is shutting offices down for a short time during conversion. Logan County Motor Vehicle Office will be CLOSED August 1 – 3 in order to convert data from the old DOS based system to the NEW DRIVES windows based system. That means Logan County Motor Vehicle will be CLOSED and we will not be able to do any type of transactions on those days. If you need to title or plate your vehicle, renew your plates, need a temporary tag, need an ADA Placard we will not be able to help August 1-3 when the state has us closed. Please plan to do these transactions prior to the August 1-3 closures. Keep in mind the week of August 6 will be very busy as we go live with the new DRIVES system.
Logan County Motor Vehicle Office will be doing training for our 35 year technology leap the week of July 9 – 13, 2018 we will close from 1-2 so remaining staff can take lunch. Thank you for your patience during these training days.
Thank you for your patience as we work through the training and growing pains with the rest of the state to better serve Logan County Motor Vehicle customers.
