Notice of Rulemaking: Proposed Amendments to IEC Rules of Procedure
The Independent Ethics Commission issues this notice of rulemaking to adopt proposed amendments to its Rules of Procedure. The proposed rules may be accessed through this link.
The purpose of the proposed rules is to administer and enforce the requirements of Article XXIX of the Colorado Constitution. The Commission is authorized to adopt such reasonable rules as may be necessary for the purpose of administering and enforcing the provisions of Article XXIX of the Colorado Constitution. Colo. Const. art. XXIX, § 5(1).
The Commission invites written public comment on the proposed rules. Any person interested in filing written comments may do so by emailing comments to email@example.com. Written comments may also be mailed to the Independent Ethics Commission, 1300 Broadway, Suite 240, Denver, CO 80203. Written comments must be received no later than June 7, 2019.
The Commission will consider any timely filed written comments at its meeting scheduled for June 24, 2019. The Commission may, at that time and in its discretion, authorize limited oral public comments from persons who have filed written comments. The Commission's meeting will be held at 1300 Broadway, Denver, Colorado, in Conference Room 1E, at 9:00 a.m. Persons interested in attending the rulemaking deliberation are encouraged to monitor the posting of the Commission's meeting agenda, which will be posted on the Commission's 2019 Agendas web page. The Commission may order additional meetings to consider the proposed rules.
