The current cemetery is the third since the City was settled. Earlier sites were abandoned to allow for housing developments. The oldest gravesite dates from 1874. Graves of a number of the city's earliest residents can be found there. The cemetery is still in use and many plots are still available.

Directions to Cemetery

Take I-70 West to exit 240 (Mt. Evans exit) turn left onto Highway 103. About a ½ mile on the left is the cemetery sign.

Buying a plot

Plots are available:                                      

            Purchase fee, per burial plot
                        Current or former City resident                           $ 750.00
                        Current or former County resident                   $ 1,500.00
                        All others                                                          $ 5,000.00

            Grave opening/closing fee
                        Full size                                                               $ 750.00
                        Urn                                                                      $ 150.00

            Week-end/holiday additional charge                            $  500.00
