Other Coverage Options

If you applied for Medicaid or Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) and didn't qualify, you and your family or caretaker have some options:

Connect for Health Colorado

Connect for Health Colorado is our state’s health insurance marketplace (or "health insurance exchange"). You can use the Connect for Health Colorado Marketplace to find out if you qualify for financial assistance to help lower your health care costs. You can also use the Connect for Health Colorado Marketplace to shop for private health insurance. In order to qualify for financial assistance to help buy private health insurance through Connect for Health Colorado, you must be denied Medicaid. Visit the Connect for Health Colorado website or call their Customer Service Center at 1-855-752-6749 / TDD 1-855-346-3432.

Other Discount Programs

Colorado Indigent Care Program (CICP)

The Colorado Indigent Care Program (CICP) provides discounted health care services to low income people and families who don't qualify for Medicaid. CICP is not a health insurance program, which means you may still be subject to a federal penalty for not having health insurance. Discounted health care services are provided by some Colorado hospitals and clinics that participate in the program.

If you have questions about CICP or would like to apply, please see the CICP program fact sheet for information on your nearest CICP Provider.
