Electronic Visit Verification Stakeholder Workgroup

Purpose

The 21st Century CURES Act, passed in November 2016, requires Medicaid programs to implement an Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system for Personal Care and Home Health services. EVV is a system which includes multiple point-of-care visit verification technologies, such as telephonic, mobile, and fixed visit verification inputs. The system electronically verifies that home or community based service visits occur and documents the precise time that service provision begin and end.

The purpose of this stakeholder meeting is to engage providers, members, and other stakeholders as the Department works to implement EVV for community based services offered through both the State Plan and Waivers.
