Diabetes Resource Center
Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) is an evidence-based intervention that strengthens the knowledge and skills of people with diabetes to optimize their ability to self-manage the disease.
Effective July 2015, Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid Program) reimburses for DSME. Colorado Medicare and Medicaid claims data indicate that many people have NOT received DSME; our State’s participation rates are only 1.5%. Find out more about DSME and how you can be reimbursed for providing this valuable service.
