Access Monitoring Review Plan
In an effort to ensure Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid Program) members can access medical services in a manner comparable to Coloradans with other public or private health insurance plans, and in accordance with 42 CFR 447.203, Health First Colorado has developed an Access Monitoring Review Plan (the AMRP, or Plan). The Plan outlines the processes used to monitor and act on access issues related to the following services:
- Primary Care Services
- Physician Specialist Services
- Behavioral Health Services
- Pre- and Post-Natal Obstetric Services (including labor and delivery)
- Home Health Services
The AMRP makes a final recommendation concerning the sufficiency of access to care for Health First Colorado members as of 2016. This recommendation is informed and supported by public input, health quality survey data, administrative claim utilization analysis, and payment rate comparison.
A revised Access Monitoring Review Plan was submitted to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services on October 26, 2016 and is now available for review and download.
If you would like to submit feedback in writing, please send it to AMRP@state.co.us.
The Department will host a meeting for interested stakeholders on August 29th, 10:00 to 11:00 am at 303 E 17th Avenue, to provide updates regarding this work, and take questions and feedback. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to AMRP@state.co.us.
