Water Department

The City of Florence operates a Regional Water Authority with the surrounding communities Rockvale, Coal Creek, Williamsburg, and Brookside servicing approximately 10,000 people. Florence draws its water from the Arkansas River and maintains a treatment facility and storage reservoir in South Florence.  Florence also provides water to the East Florence Water District which is located just east of the city boundaries.

Water bills may be paid at City Hall, Monday- Friday from 8:30-4:30 by cash, check or card.
There is also a drop box outside the main entrance for checks.

For questions about water bills, water quality issues, or infrastructure problems please call City Hall at 719-784-4848.

For specific questions about water treatment facilities and distribution please contact the Florence Water Treatment Facility at 719-784-0617.

The water system is operated by a staff of five City of Florence employees and managed by Mr. Brandon Harris, who holds a Class A Water Certification permit and Class II Water Distribution Certification permit.
