Florence Master Plan
The City of Florence has been putting together a Master Plan over the last two years. The State of Colorado requires communities to develop a master plan to guide their future land use, planning, and growth decisions. The City has engaged focus groups and gone out into the community from 2016 and 2017 to talk to citizens and business leaders about the current and future state of the City. Click here to see the final plan in the condensed form. You can also follow this link to view the 39-page PDF with an interactive Table of Contents. The primary areas of concern and focus for the City were economic development/job creation, housing, recreation, and youth engagement although the plan covers much more. If you have comments or feedback please contact the Planning Director, Wade Broadhead, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Florence Master Plan was approved at the June 1st Planning Commission at City Hall. It was then ratified at the June 5th meeting of City Council at 7PM.
