The EVRPD Youth Flag Football program emphasizes FUN and DEVELOPMENT physically, psychologically, and socially. Teams are coached by volunteers. Each team plays twice a week (one practice and one game). If you are interested in coaching please contact us.
Program Dates: April 10 - May 18, 2017
Fees: $40.00/IN DISTRICT and $50.00/OUT OF DISTRICT.
Practice Dates/Location: There will be one practice a week and one game. All practices are either *Monday’s or Tuesday’s at Stanley Park Field #2. Practice days will be based on coach availability. **The first three sessions will be practices.Game Dates: Each team will have 5 games. Games are either on Wednesday’s or Thursday’s. There will be one practice a week and one game, **except the first three sessions will be practices.Roster Sizes: *Rosters will be limited to 4 teams max in each division with 7 player min/13 player max per roster. *A minimum of 14 players in a division must be registered on the final day of EARLY registration to ensure two teams. If there is not a minimum of 14 players, the league will not be formed.Coaches: The EVRPD utilizes volunteer coaches. If you are able and interested in coaching, we will waive your child’s registration fee (head coaches only, one child only), you will receive a coaches hoodie, and an EVRPD coffee tumbler. Please contact the EVRPD for more information on becoming a youth sports coach and to attend the coaches meeting on Thursday, April 6, 6pm at the Stanley Park Recreation Office. **Please note, parents will find out what time their practices/games are after the coaches meeting.Equipment: Each player will receive a team jersey reflecting the Denver Broncos logo. Players should wear athletic clothing (black or navy shorts for game day), cleats (plastic only), and bring a water bottle. Footballs and other equipment is provided.Field Location: Stanley Park #2.
*Late Registration: Tuesday, March 21- Monday, March 27, there will be a $10 late fee. Late registrations will be taken on a “space-available” basis only.
FREE local football competition in punting, passing, and kicking. Separate boys and girls divisions in each age group. Local first place winners of each division advance to sectionals. Top four first-place scorers in each division from the pool of sectionals advance to the Team Championships at an NFL stadium. Local competitors receive a participation award and the top 3 receive a ribbon. Aftwards, participants will receive a free hot dog, chips, and drink!
Estes Valley Recreation and Park District in conjunction with local coaches and sponsors will be the primary administrator for Estes Valley teams participating in the 2014 Loveland Youth Athletic Association Youth Football Program. Local teams will be formed with Estes Park students, practices will be scheduled here in Estes Park, and Saturday games are scheduled in Loveland. Registration includes use of a helmet, shoulder pads, pants, mouthpiece and a jersey.
