Hello, fellow lovers of life! I say that because you obviously are serious about living a healthy lifestyle or else you wouldn’t be here, right? But maybe you’ve hit a plateau or you need a little encouragement? That’s where I come in!
Let me introduce myself. My name is Julie Bunton and my family moved to Estes in 2013 when my husband was asked to be the Chaplain at the YMCA. (Insert fun fact: we have two AMAZING children, Kayla and Brody).
Upon arriving in Estes, I began teaching Boot Camp classes at the Y and the other gyms in town. This led to beginning my career in personal training.
Let’s back up a bit. My background is in education. I was teaching physical education in Edmond, Okla. at a small private school when my classes extended to middle school and high school. I wanted a little bit more in the way of training these older students for a lifetime of fitness. I decided to get certified with NASM as a personal trainer to get the information I needed and tools to help my students further their individual fitness goals. At this point, I had no intention of personal training as a career. I was currently teaching fitness classes, but was happy with my day job as a school teacher.
Now, let’s return to the move to Estes. I was approached by some members in my classes to train them and so I decided to give it a try. I quickly fell in love with the relationships and unique experiences training provided.
I pride myself on making each session specific, unique, engaging and, I hope, a little bit fun! It should be fun, or at least interesting, so you'll keep doing it. I believe your fitness plan should incorporate exercises you can do throughout your life.
I have an aggressive client load of varying abilities/goals. My youngest client has been 14 and my most mature is 83 years young! I love helping people reach obtainable goals and building relationships with them.
I'm a stickler for form! Safety is key! I love helping clients reach their full potential, and maybe even surprising them about their abilities. I love to encourage my clients and build up their confidence and self-esteem alongside bettering their strength, balance, fat loss, etc! I believe in life long fitness, finding something that “sticks”. I believe in total body fitness from the inside out. I'm a stickler for form! Safety is key! I love the challenge to create a variety of workouts so each workout will be engaging, creative and different from the last. I will encourage you and help you build up your confidence and self-esteem while bettering your strength, balance, fat loss, etc! Let’s find something you enjoy doing so you will find success and continue to do it.
If this sounds like you and you’re willing to see what that next level could look like, let’s talk!
I’m looking forward to meeting you! I work with individuals based on their unique bodies and goals and reaching their full potential, maybe even surprising themselves on their abilities.

Are you ready to take your fitness to the next level?
Incorporating new fitness goals in your life can be overwhelming, but each new habit established will influence a positive body image, a healthy mindset, and an increase in total body health. New and powerful habits can include healthy food choices, mind-body activities, strength training and cardiovascular activity. Fitness and healthy eating habits start with you, and I would like to help you along the way.
I specialize in strength training, functional training, nutritional management, and weight loss. I am a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), and a fitness nutrition specialist through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). I have additional training and certifications in Group Fitness Instruction (ACE), Spinning®, and a Senior Fitness Specialty Certification through the National Exercise Trainers Association (NETA).
Fitness is an important part of my life; however, I understand how fitness goals can be difficult at times. I have been so over-scheduled that I couldn’t find the time or the willpower to exercise. I understand the reasons behind most hesitations to start an exercise program. I have experienced loss of a loved one from poor health habits. I also know that most anything worth something in this life takes time, dedication, and change—change for health, change for strength, and change for healing. These are all worthwhile, and most importantly, YOU ARE WORTH IT!

Since my early days in high school, I knew I wanted to work in sports and help develop athletes. Over the past two decades, I have worked with athletes at every level: high school, competitive adults, college, semi-pro, national team and professional levels. At each stop, and no matter the ability, I’ve always had a passion to help athletes get better. I also love to turn people on to activity and health as a way of life.
In addition to training individuals and teams, I have also taught college courses in health, wellness, physical activity, and coaching techniques and philosophy. I am thrilled to know that many of the high school students I have worked with continue to enjoy strength training and conditioning as adults. I also take great pride in having trained a generation of future coaches.
My areas of interest are helping young athletes learn and appreciate health and wellness. It starts with emphasizing proper technique and training principles. I also enjoy getting adults back into activity or to help them find a new level of fitness.

My journey began as a classically trained ballerina followed by a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science with certifications in personal training, fitness nutrition, Barre and Zumba.
I am the mother of three beautiful children, and understand the drastic changes our bodies go through during life.
It is my goal to empower my clients to become their best selves through fitness and diet. As a trainer/instructor, I use research-based methods to achieve the best individual results possible. My focus is on the basics of human movement and energy balance, looking toward maintainable lifestyles.
I like to focus heavily on strength training. I help my clients sift through the plethora of information available, and with them create a program that is a personalized fit that they will enjoy and adhere to for goal achievement. Obesity is a growing epidemic in America. A lot of people can “loose the weight,” but keeping it off is another story. I specialize in the “diet after the diet.” Reverse dieting gives my clients the knowledge and freedom to eat what they want and still maintain a healthy lifestyle.
I am constantly in awe of what we are capable of with enough practice, patience, and persistence. True change comes through lifestyle changes.

My name is Jane Truesdale. I was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN as the eldest child of three. My husband, Roger, and I met teaching in Bloomington, Minn. and moved to Estes Park after we retired. I have one son, Eric, who lives in West Hollywood, Calif.
I have been an active athletic person for as far back as I can remember. As a child I was always outside playing, especially baseball and football with my brothers and the other children in the neighborhood. Being from Minnesota, we all learned to ice skate at a very young age, and skated every day all winter. I learned to play tennis, and became the Minneapolis city champion at 14 years old.
During my 30-year career as a teacher, I continued to remain fit by joining a gym and learning to lift weights correctly, alongside taking classes in aerobics, Jazzercize, yoga and pilates. I took up running and completed 13 marathons (including the Boston Marathon) as well as many, many shorter races—too many to count. The other teachers were amazed at my ability to do all of this while teaching and taking care of my son. They all asked for advice, and I helped as much as possible. One of them suggested at lunch one day that I should really get paid for doing this. That set off a light bulb.
After retiring from teaching, I went back to school to take classes in anatomy, physiology and kinesiology, and in February of 2000, I completed my certification as a personal trainer. I have worked at several gyms since then and established my own business called Train with Jane.
I am a certified SilverSneakers instructor, and I love working with older and active adults. With the growing number of older people in our society (me being one of them), many of them want to remain fit and active. It is my goal to help them achieve their goals in order to live a healthy and functional life for as long as possible.
A personal trainer is very much like a teacher, and I feel the skills I had for teaching a classroom full of kids has easily transferred into being an effective personal trainer.
