Occupational Support and Key Licenses must be renewed every two years - the expiration date is printed on the Occupational License Badge and the renewal fee is $75.00.
In order to renew your Occupational License:
Occupational licensee may now submit their renewals online! Just ensure you have the necessary information collected (see bullet list above) and click on this e-government link to submit your application. A credit card* is necessary and applications can only be accepted within 60 of your badge expiration date. Of course, submissions will not be accepted once your badge expiration date has passed.
Your renewal packet can be submitted in person or mailed to the Lakewood Office ONLY - Do Not mail them to the other offices! Note that incorrect payments MUST be picked up at the Lakewood office as they CANNOT be mailed back to the sender. If you plan to mail your renewal application to the Lakewood Office, we recommend that you send it at least 30 DAYS PRIOR to the expiration date of your license (badge).

If you pass the necessary background checks a new badge will be mailed to the address provided on your application.
If you fail to pass the background check you will have an opportunity to request a meeting to resolve any issues. If you choose not to pursue this option you must return your expired badge to the MED and discontinue your employment within Colorado's Marijuana Industry.
