MED Regulated Marijuana Business Owner Renewal

We are open for business but our offices are closed to the public until further notice

As state public health officials are calling for “social distancing,” consistent with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, the Marijuana Enforcement Division is adopting measures to minimize exposure between employees and also between employees and the public.

  • Starting Wednesday, March 18, MED Business operations will continue and services to the public will remain available, however, all MED office lobbies will not be open to the public. During this time, MED is providing modified licensing services, outlined below. Other than these adjustments to our licensing processes, it is business as usual at MED.

ATTENTION: Pursuant to 2019 legislative changes under Senate Bill 19-224, a licensee must apply for renewal before the expiration date of their license. Prior law provided a "grace period" for business licensees to submit renewal applications within 90 days following their expiration date. However, as of January 1, 2019, statute and rules will no longer provide a 90-day "grace period" for renewal submission. Therefore, absent a licensee's submission and acceptance of a complete renewal application prior to a license expiration date, a license is immediately invalid upon expiration.
