Liquor 2017 Rules Working Group Invitation Letter

June 22, 2017

Dear Liquor Industry Members, Local Clerks, and Stakeholders:

The Liquor Enforcement Division (LED) is commencing its yearly rule making process for rules to be effective January 1, 2018.  The LED is going to convene a Liquor Working Group (LWG) to consider rules from the following categories:

  1. Changes or additions to statutes.
  2. Review of regulations within the regulatory agenda (which are regulations 47-902 through 47-1008, 1 C.C.R. 203-2).
  3. Additions/changes from the LED and industry input (except for trade practices as noted below).

The LED and industry made significant rule changes for trade practices last year and due to the potential changes to liquor laws in the next couple of years, so the LED will not be holding meetings this year specifically to look at substantial changes to trade practices.

The first meeting of the LWG will be held on July 6th, 1 p.m. at:

            Liquor Enforcement Division

            1881 Pierce Street (Entrance B – Room 110)

            Lakewood, CO 80214

The schedule for subsequent meeting will be established at the first meeting.  If you want to submit a rule change/addition, you must submit your request using form DR 2477, which is attached and also found on our website, www.colorado.gov/enforcement/liquor.

This year the LWG will be comprised of entities/associations that are involved with the liquor industry.  The LED recognizes the following associations/entities as being an integral part of the LWG, and therefore will be included as an official member of the LWG.
