Application & Eligibility
Individuals interested in receiving assistance from DVR must apply for and be determined eligible for the program. To be eligible for services, you must meet these criteria:
- You must have a documentable disability – such as a physical, mental, or learning disability;
- Your disability creates problems with you getting, doing, keeping, or advancing in a job;
- After your DVR program is complete you will be able to work; and
- You must need our services in order to go to work successfully.
To find out if you are eligible, contact a Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Office. You will apply for services and work with your counselor to gather the information necessary to determine your eligibility. Learn more about the Application Process>

Once you have been determined eligible, you and your counselor will work together to decide on an employment goal and develop your Individual Plan for Employment (IPE). This plan describes the services necessary to reach your employment goal. Learn more about our process>
