DPA Executive Director named one of the Girl Scouts’ 2014 Denver metro-area Women of Distinction

DENVER ­— June 27, 2014 — Girl Scouts of Colorado announced their 2014 inductees into the esteemed Women of Distinction program in the Denver metro-area at a private reception on June 18 at the home of Greg Movesian and Jack Finlaw. Kathy Nesbitt, Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Personnel & Administration was named as one of the ten honorees. 

This year’s honorees were selected by a committee of their peers led by Tamra Ward, President and CEO of Colorado Concern and 2006 Woman of Distinction, and chosen based on their contributions to the community, both professionally and personally. The Women of Distinction commit to supporting Girl Scouts of Colorado and serving Girl Scouts today.

Later this year, Girl Scouts of Colorado will publicly honor these inductees at the 2014 Thin Mint Dinner in Denver at the Sheraton Downtown Denver Hotel. This event is on Oct. featuring one of Colorado’s up and coming women leaders, Amelia Earhart, who will share her inspirational story behind her summer 2014 around-the-world flight.  Leanna Clark, Vice Chancellor of University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus and 2009 Woman of Distinction, and Patty Fontneau, CEO of Connect for Health Colorado and 2003 Woman of Distinction, are event co-chairs.
