Disability-Benefits Support Contract Committee
The Disability-Benefit Support Contract Committee created in 24-30-2203 C.R.S. is a 13 member committee appointed by the governor. The Committee is charged with administering two programs:
1. The Program to Assist Persons to Obtain Disability Benefits, which exists "to aid persons with disabilities in accessing disability benefits." (24-30-2204 C.R.S.)
2. The Program to Investigate, Fund, and Pilot Projects or Programs to Benefit Persons with Disabilities which exists "to fund projects or programs that study or pilot new and innovative ideas that will lead to an improved quality of life or increased independence for persons with disabilities." (24-30-2204.5 C.R.S.)
The Committee is authorized to contract with non-profits, projects, or programs that meet the statutory criteria for each project.
