Colorado Civil Rights Division Class on Anti-Discrimination
The Colorado Civil Rights Division (CCRD) provides outreach and education about anti-discrimination laws and issues at no charge to participants. Employment 101, Fair Housing 101, and Public Accommodations 101 are offered on a regular basis at 1560 Broadway, Denver. These classes discuss anti-discrimination laws that CCRD is responsible for enforcing as well as an overview of the Division's process, procedure, and jurisdiction. In addition to offering these regularly scheduled classes at DORA's Denver offices, CCRD also offers these trainings free of charge throughout the State of Colorado, contact dora_ccrd@state.co.us to inquire about scheduling a training in your locality.

"Employment 101"/"Anti-Discrimination in Employment" training provides the basics of Colorado employment anti-discrimination laws. The class includes discussion of protected classes, harassment and discrimination in the workplace, and rights and responsibilities of employers and employees. An overview of the CCRD's process and procedure is also included.

Housing

"Fair Housing 101" training provides an introduction to Colorado fair housing laws. The class focuses on protected classes and disability discrimination, including reasonable accommodations and modifications. An overview of CCRD's process, procedure, and jurisdiction is also included. Fair Housing 101 is approved for two Real Estate Continuing Education credits and for two Community Association Manager (CAM) credits offered at any site, by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, Division of Real Estate.

Places of Public Accommodations

"Public Accommodations 101" provides an introduction to Colorado's anti-discrimination laws as they apply to places of public accommodation. Topics include service animals, and equal access to restrooms. The training also includes an overview of the CCRD's process, procedure, and jurisdiction.
