Office of Funeral Home and Crematory Registration: Program Information
Jenny Alber, Program Director
The Colorado Office of Funeral Home and Crematory Registration (Program) regulates funeral homes and crematories in the State of Colorado. Program activities include registration of funeral homes and crematories, investigation of complaints, and enforcement of disciplinary actions against those who violate the Mortuary Science Code and the Office of Funeral Home and Crematory Registration Rules.
The Program's mission is to maintain the profession's integrity and protect its consumers.
Inspection of Funeral Homes and Crematories by Other Governmental Agencies
Funeral Homes and Crematories may be inspected by other governmental agencies. For example, crematories are subject to inspection by the Air Pollution Control Division of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). Please be aware that other entities may have legal authority to inspect your funeral home or crematory as well.
