2016 Tenant Based Rental Assistance RFA
The Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) through the Colorado Division of Housing (CDOH) offers this Request for Applications (RFA) opportunity for Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) Programs.
Enable homeless and at-risk families with school-aged children to achieve housing stability in their school district of choice.
Proposals will be accepted for programs designed in the ‘Next Step’ Model focusing on a partnership between school districts, service agencies, and housing authorities (or other housing agencies) to provide rental assistance and security deposits for up to 24 months to low-income families with school-aged children who are unstably housed or experiencing homelessness. Programs must provide self-sufficiency counseling and services to participating families to address causes of housing instability and support academic success. Proposals must demonstrate how the program will prioritize and serve families with the greatest need. Proposals for the identified service area will be accepted for programs serving up to 30 eligible families at any given time for up to a two-year period. TBRA Programs are an eligible activity under the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) and proposals will be required to comply with HOME regulations.
