$20 million in Conservation Trust Funds

Denver, CO  – Wednesday, June 15, 2016  – The Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) today announced the distribution of $20,211,204 in Conservation Trust Fund (CTF) dollars to eligible counties statewide.

The CTF receives 40% of the net proceeds of the Colorado Lottery each quarter to distribute for the acquisition, development, and maintenance of new conservation sites or for the capital improvement or maintenance of public recreation sites like parks and open spaces. This 2nd quarter distribution is particularly high because of the significant revenue generated from this years’ record-setting Powerball. For comparison, the 2nd quarter CTF distribution in 2015 was $12.1 million.
