    Fourteen members of the Colorado National Guard compete in the Best Warrior Competition April 7-9, 2017 on Fort Carson, Colorado. 

  • 140th Wing Deploys to Japan

    Master Sgt. William Schmidt from the Colorado Air National Guard’s 140th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, spends time with his family before he departs from Buckley AFB, Colo., May 5, 2017. Approximately 250 Airmen from the Colorado Air National Guard’s 140th Wing along with 12 F-16 Fighting Falcons are departing to Kadena Air Base, Japan for a deployment in support of the U.S.

  • 233d Space Group- Deployed Field Training

    Members from the 233d Space Group defend helicopter evacuation procedures during their Self-Aid/Buddy-Care procedures under simulated wartime conditions while on their field training exercise. Dummies and actual members were used to simulate casualties while other members performed life-saving maneuvers in field conditions. The 233d Space Group is enhancing their ability to survive and operate in austere field conditions during their annual field training exercise at Fort Carson Army Installation, Colorado Springs. They are the USAF’s only mobile unit providing survivable and endurable missile warning and nuclear detection to the National Command Authority.

  • Colorado Air National Guard

    F-16s from the 140th Wing, Colorado Air National Guard begin to return to Buckley Air Force Base July 12, 2014, slightly ahead of schedule, after spending approximately three months at Denver International Airport while the base runway was being reconstructed. Despite relocating their entire flying operations, the wing managed to provide uninterrupted support to their Aerospace Control Alert mission 24/7 throughout the transition to DIA and back to Buckley AFB.
