Senate Bill 13-251, The Colorado Road and Community Safety Act, authorizes the issuance of a Colorado driver license, instruction permit or identification card to those individuals who either cannot demonstrate lawful presence in the U.S. or can only demonstrate temporary lawful presence in the U.S.
You must bring the following documents to prove identification and residency; you must present these documents when you check in for your appointment:
If you are taking a drive test, please have the insurance and registration for the car out and available for the examiner.

Call 303-205-2335 to set up a SB251 appointment. Appointments aren't needed for immigrants who can demonstrate temporary legal presence, unless a driving test is needed.
