STATE DMV OFFICE CLOSURES

Wednesday, March 18, 2020 until Monday, April 20, 2020

  • All State DMV facilities will be closed to public contact. Online and mail-in services will continue to be processed. More information about procedures during this closure is available on our COVID-19 page.

COUNTY OFFICE CLOSURES

Adams County motor vehicle offices are closed

  • Please note that you cannot register motor vehicles in a different county. Adams County does participate in the self-service kiosk program. You can use kiosks for renewals.
  • Visit their webiste for information on submitting your registration by mail. Beginning Monday, March 23 phones will be staffed daily from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. by calling 720-523-6010 
  • Reopening on Monday April 20

Alamosa County motor vehicles office is closed

  • Most services are available online at https://mydmv.colorado.gov. County representatives are avialable via phone
  • Please note that you cannot register motor vehicles in a different county. 

Arapahoe County motor vehicle offices are closed indefinitely

  • Please note that you cannot register motor vehicles in a different county. Arapahoe County does participate in the self-service kiosk program. You can use kiosks for renewals.

Archuleta County motor vehicle offices are closed indefinitely

  • Please note that you cannot register motor vehicles in a different county. Archuleta County does not participate in the self-service kiosk program.
  • Staff will be processing mail and online transactions

Broomfield County motor vehicle offices are closed indefinitely

Boulder County motor vehicle offices are closed until April 20

  • Please note that you cannot register motor vehicles in a different county. Boulder County does participate in the self-service kiosk program.

Chaffee County motor vehicle is closed

  • Please note that you cannot register motor vehicles in a different county.

Clear Creek County motor vehicle is closed through April 20

  • Most services are available online at https://mydmv.colorado.gov. County representatives are avialable via phone

Costilla County motor vehicle offices are closed

Denver County motor vehicle offices are closed (View their media release)

Delta  County motor Vehicle is closed through March 11

Dolores County motor vehicle is closed

  • Closed on Friday's

Douglas County motor vehicle is closed 

  • Will be providing services via phone and/or online services https://mydmv.colorado.gov
  • Douglas County does participate in the self-service kiosk program. You can use kiosks for renewals.

Eagle County motor vehicle offices are closed  (View their media release)

Elbert County motor vehicle offices are closed ( View their media release)

El Paso County has closed motor vehicle offices at least through Aprill 11

Fremont County motor vehicle office is closed

Garfield County 

  • All essential county services are still being provided, though residents are urged to conduct any other business with the county by phone, if possible. All online services are available 

Gilpin County offices, including motor vehicle offices, are closed 

  • Please note that you cannot register motor vehicles in a different county. Gilpin County does participate in the self-service kiosk program. You can use kiosks for renewals.

Grand County motor vehicle offices are closed

Jackson County motor vehicle is closed

Jefferson County motor vehicle offices are closed

Kit Carson County motor vehicle offices are clsoed

  • Staff will be providing limited essential services by appointment or via phone 719-346-8638 ext 301 and https://mydmv.colorado.gov

Lake County motor vehicle office is closed 

  • Working mail-in and fielding calls from 8-12, online services are available.

La Plata County  motor vehicle offices are closed

Larimer County 

  • Effective March 18th Larimer County Clerk & Recorder offices will provide limited in-person access for the public: -Vehicle Licensing, appts. are required.

Lincoln County motor vehicle offices are closed through at least April 7

  • Please note that you cannot register motor vehicles in a different county. Lincoln County does not participate in the self-service kiosk program.
  • Staff will process online and phone-in MV renewals every other business day beginning Friday, March 20

Mesa County motor vehicle is closed

  • Most services are available online at https://mydmv.colorado.gov. County representatives are avialable via phone and dropbox 
  • Mesa County does participate in the self-service kiosk program. You can use kiosks for renewals.
  • Please note that you cannot register motor vehicles in a different county.
  • Call first for all other services at 970-244-1664.

Montezuma County motor vehicle is closed

  • Most services are available online at https://mydmv.colorado.gov
  • Please note that you cannot register motor vehicles in a different county. Montezuma County does not participate in the self-service kiosk program.

Montrose County motor vehicle is closed. 

  • Montrose residents can complete transactions online or by calling 970-252-3362
  • Please note that you cannot register motor vehicles in a different county. 

Ouray County motor vehicle is closed effective March 18

  • Ouray county residents can complete transactions online or by calling (970) 325-4961 and mailing address (PO Box C, Ouray CO 81427)

Pitkin County motor vehicle is closed effective March 18

  • Most services are available online at https://mydmv.colorado.gov
  • Pitkin County Motor Vehicle, Recording, and Elections Departments will continue to serve the public by processing online services and documents received through the mail or dropped in the Pitkin County drop box located at 530 E. Main Street, Aspen

Phillips County 

  • Will not be conducting drive tests until April 6

Pueblo County motor vehicle is closed effective March 18

Routt County 

  • Most services are available online at https://mydmv.colorado.gov
  • Please note that you cannot register motor vehicles in a different county.

San Miguel motor vehicle is closed 

  • As of March 16, 2020 San Miguel County is restricting all in person traffic as well as all paper mail or paper from outside sources until at least 3/20/2020. 

Sedgwick County motor vehicle is closed

  • Most services are available online at https://mydmv.colorado.gov
  • Please note that you cannot register motor vehicles in a different county.

Summit County motor vehicle offices are closed indefinitely

  • Please note that you cannot register motor vehicles in a different county. Summit County does not participate in the self-service kiosk program. 
  • Summit County is providing a letter for individuals to keep in their vehicle until they reopen and resume motor vehicle registrations.

Washington County motor vehicle is closed 

  • Most services are available online at https://mydmv.colorado.gov. County representatives are avialable via phone and dropbox 
  • Please note that you cannot register motor vehicles in a different county.
