The State of Colorado Announces Employee Wellness Program Official Launch on Monday, July 1

DENVER, CO — Friday, June 27, 2013 — The State of Colorado is excited to announce a new employee wellness program for state employees. Governor John Hickenlooper, state officials and program partners will officially launch the program at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 1 on the East Steps of the State Capitol.

The Department of Personnel & Administration and representatives from Colorado WINS and the Association of Colorado State Patrol Professionals (ACSPP) began meeting last year to review best practices from other wellness programs around the country. Taking these experiences into account, along with health issues specific to our employees, the partnership group designed a program geared toward improving the overall health of Colorado’s workforce.
