MEDICAL PLANS
The State of Colorado Group Employee Medical Plan continues to offer four medical insurance options through UnitedHealthcare and Kaiser Permanente with no premium increases.

DENTAL PLANS 
The State of Colorado continues to offer two choices for dental insurance  - Delta Basic and Delta Basic Plus - for dental insurance through Delta Dental. The plans differ in premium cost and how much reimbursement is available. NEW to both plans: Diagnostic & preventive services will not to count towards the annual maximum benefit. 


HEALTH CARE ACCOUNTS

FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS (FSAs) 
Set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for out-of-pocket healthcare or dependent day care expenses. NEW this year: Up to maximum of $500 in healthcare FSAs will carry over to the next plan year (FY 2015-16); FSAs must be chosen every year. Learn more.

HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNT (HSAs) 
By enrolling in a high deductible health plan (UHC HDHP, KP HDHP) you will be eligible to establish a HSA at a bank or credit union of your choice.


OPTIONAL PLANS

LIFE INSURANCE
Offered through Minnesota Life. Several of the employee rates have decreased. There are no changes to optional life insurance benefits for the upcoming plan year. Learn more

LONG-TERM DISABILITY (LTD) 

LTD is provided by The Standard Insurance Company. Premiums are determined by salary, age and PERA Defined Benefit vesting status, and are deducted from pay post-tax. Learn more
