The State of Colorado provides a wide range of benefit choices. New employees are must enroll in a plan within 31 days of their hire date. If a new employee is adding dependents, we must receive the dependent documentation within 31 days also. Once each year, thereafter, the State sponsors an Open Enrollment period which allows employees to make changes in existing coverage. Employees are also allowed to make changes for select qualifying mid-year life changes, such as birth, marriage, spousal employment changes,  please call your benefits department for more information. 

Benefit eligibility is based upon the position held, and may be attached to both full and part-time, qualifying positions. Follow the links below for additional information on the State’s benefits choices.
