Update: Written Testing and Training Notice of Suspension

November 18, 2020: With Colorado experiencing a rapid increase in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations, Governor Polis is urging Coloradans to significantly reduce unnecessary person-to-person interactions. Many counties are increasing their level on the dial to reflect the rapid spread of the virus.  In order to help slow the spread of the virus, we are evaluating written testing and training events on a month-to-month basis.  At this time, we will be cancelling all written testing events in December. You may request practical events in the RMS and continue with any practical events you have scheduled, however, no practical exams will be proctored by any DFPC staff. If the situation changes prior to December 31, 2020 we will notify registered individuals and training officers as soon as possible.

Please make sure that you are informed of, and following, the public health rules in place in the county/counties where you live, work, or visit.

The Division of Fire Prevention and Control is closely monitoring the impact of COVID-19 in Colorado and will send out notifications if and when any information changes.  If you have any questions, please contact Section Chief Mike Scott at 303-514-8055 or michael.scott@state.co.us.
