Monitoring Written Testing Events During COVID-19

November 10, 2020: With Colorado experiencing a rapid increase in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations, Governor Polis is urging Coloradans to significantly reduce unnecessary person-to-person interactions. While the Governor has not implemented an official statewide stay-at-home order, many counties are increasing their level on the dial to reflect the rapid spread of the virus.  In order to help slow the spread of the virus, we are evaluating  the written testing events in November that are scheduled to be held in counties that are currently at level red or orange on the dial.  We are asking any written test candidates that live or work in a county that is currently at level red or orange to please cancel any testing event(s) that you are registered for in the month of November. We will work with you to reschedule for a future date. Please make sure that you are informed of, and following, the public health rules in place in the county/counties where you live, work, or visit

The Division of Fire Prevention and Control is closely monitoring the impact of COVID-19 in Colorado and will send out notifications if and when any information changes.  If you have any questions, please contact Section Chief Mike Scott at 303-514-8055 or michael.scott@state.co.us.
