The mission of the Disability Funding Committee is to maximize support for new and innovative programs benefitting Colorado’s disability community by raising and distributing funds as authorized by the Laura Hershey Disability Support Act.
The Colorado Disability Funding Committee is now being staffed out of Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera's Office and will resume meetings, license plate configuration sales, and grants in the near future. Applications to join the committee are currently being accepted.
If you received a letter from DMV about a license plate configuration that is being recalled please email Josh Winkler at email@example.com, resolving these plate configurations will be work the appointed committee takes on.
Sunset Review Process
The Colorado Office of Policy, Research and Regulatory Reform (COPRRR) is conducting a sunset review of the Disability Funding Committee.
Analysis in a sunset review is performed to determine whether the program is necessary and should be continued, modified or eliminated. This review will produce a report on October 15, 2020, with recommendations to the Colorado General Assembly and result in subsequent legislation based on the recommendations in the report.
Your input is an important component of a successful review. If you would like to submit comments online, please visit COPRRR's website at: http://www.dora.state.co.us/pls/real/OPR_Review_Comments.Main
