The Colorado Department of Human Services Division of Disability Determination Services (DDS) is a 100% federally funded program which is responsible for adjudicating medical eligibility for Social Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income for the State of Colorado.  DDS is seeking qualified** physicians, psychologists, and other medical providers in ALL geographic areas of Colorado to perform consultative examinations (CE's) in the following specilities for DDS on Social Security Disability claimants.

Specialties needed are:

*Licensed Physicians (board certified/eligible) in  Cardiology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Pediatrics, Pulmonary, Rheumatology, Rehabilitation Medicine, Physiatry, Psychiatry, Internal medicine and Family Practice

*Licensed Clinical Psychologists

*Licensed Certified Speech and Language Therapists

*Licensed Optometrists

*Licensed Audiologists

*DDS is also seeking qualified** physician assistants (PA) and advanced nurses (APRN) with experience in family or internal medicine to perform general medical consultative examinations in rural and/or underserved areas of the State (i.e. Burlington, Lamar, Sterling, Steamboat Springs, Glenwood Springs, Leadville, Gunnison, Durango).  SSA regulations define when PA's and APN's are considered "acceptable medical sources".  Due to the potential low volume of examinations scheduled, DDS is only accepting applications from PA's and/or APN's who are currently practicing in their communities.

Additionally, the DDS is seeking qualified interpreters or interpreter service companies to provide interpretation services.  The DDS is seeking qualified Interpreters to perform consultative examination interpretation services in all geographic areas of Colorado.
