IDS Program Service Gets a New Name-SOPE

Earlier this year, DPA/IDS partnered with OIT and Xerox to bring new technology and software to the Xerox office printers used by state employees. This new technology will provide another layer of security to state resources while also dovetailing with the Governor's Greening initiatives. With this change, a new program campaign began starting with the IDS’ Multifunction Printer Program (MFP) changing to the Secure Office Print Environment Ecosystem (SOPE) — a name that many of you may have already heard about through the print assessments that have been conducted in many locations.

Testing and implementation for the new technology is now in process throughout the month of January for the Office of Information Technology and the Department of Personnel & Administration. Stay tuned for more information on this transition throughout state agencies and the new added features it brings.
