IDS - 2016 Mail Center of the Year
The State of Colorado’s Integrated Document Solutions (IDS) continues to strive to find more efficient processes by taking advantage of 21st century technology in order to provide government agencies with higher-quality and cost-effective document solutions.
The example that IDS used for IPMA’s 2016 Mail Center of the Year Award not only shows how this mail team helped one of the state agencies mailing become more efficient, they also helped improve that specific agencies service to their own customers. By bringing in partnerships, learning from each other, and using each other’s knowledge has allowed IDS to change how a program’s mail is processed, show increased efficiencies, and provide a higher ROI back to the state, overall.
As the United States Postal Service (USPS) introduces more complex changes to the rules, IDS has witnessed a significant gap in the “disconnect” with each agency and how best to process their mail. These customers have become increasingly reliant on internal mail operations for direction and IDS has been there to assist in every way they can.
Both teams from the Denver and Pueblo facilities came together with all their hard work and dedication to make this opportunity happen.
“It’s an honor to have industry peers from across all segments of the in-plant mail operations recognize IDS for the third time in only five years for Mail Center excellence. The award is a testament to the dedication of the IDS staff, IDS partners, customers, and vendors," said Mike Lincoln, IDS Northern Regional Manager/Colorado State Printer.
IDS was recognized for this prestigious award in the presence of other state's industry leaders at the 2016 IPMA "Reaching New Heights" Conference Award Ceremony on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the Omni Hotels and Resorts in Broomfield, Colorado.
