2019 Annual Domestic Violence & Sex Offender Management Conference

The Domestic Violence & Sex Offender Management Boards are pleased to announce a call for papers for the 13th Annual Conference - "Bridging the Gap: Connecting Across Disciplines Through Collaboration".
Call for paper is now open!
Professionals including, but not limited to domestic violence and sex offender treatment providers, evaluators, polygraph examiners, victim therapists, victim advocates, school personnel, community supervision officers, child welfare, attorneys, judges, magistrates, and law enforcement (local, state and federal).
Subjects of interest should include, but are not limited to:
Adult and Juvenile topics. Emerging research, evaluation techniques/skills, implementation of differential treatment, abuse prevention efforts, brain development, judicial decision making, multidisciplinary collaboration, technology, providing services to rural communities, diversity, legal issues and court practice, restorative justice, domestic violence and sex assault victim advocacy, supervision and management practices, trauma, treatment approaches, wellness and working with families.
Please submit proposals via email. Proposal deadline: February 1, 2019.
**Guidelines for Submissions**
Presentations are scheduled for 120 minutes in length. Workshop proposals longer than 120 minutes will also be considered.
Title of Presentation (limit to 50 characters)
DV (Domestic Violence Management) or SO (Sex Offender Management) or Crossover topic
Type of session (interactive, lecture or panel)
Level (beginner, intermediate or advanced)
Population covering (juvenile, adult or both)
Please be precise on type of session, level and targeted population.
*Abstract suitable for printing in the registration packet
*List 3 Objectives of Presentation (Objectives should describe what the learner will be able to do at the end of the presentation.)
*Name of the Presenter(s), degree, credentials, title, address, phone number and email
*A one paragraph bio for each presenter
*Attach curriculum vitae/resume for each presenter
*A.V. Requirements: DVD Player, Audio, Flip chart, Other.
Presenters are required to bring their own laptop. LCD Projectors will be set up in each room.
Presenters receive free*** conference registration but are responsible for all lodging, travel, food and other expenses.
***Additional presenters in sessions with more than 2 presenters will pay 50% off the registration fee
