CDPS Members Get Creative for a Cause

(March 31, 2018) On March 15,  2018, the Colorado Department of Public Safety got creative for a cause. In an event organized by members of the Division of Criminal Justice, more than two dozen CDPS employees representing all divisions dropped in to draw, design and color meal delivery bags for clients of Project Angel Heart.

Project Angel Heart prepares and delivers meals to neighbors living with life-threatening illnesses such as HIV/AIDS and cancer. Many live alone and have little opportunity to visit with people, so decorating the meal delivery bags helps remind recipients that they are appreciated and loved.

The event was one of many charitable activities that CDPS employees engage in througout the year as a way to continue serving the communities and people of Colorado. Other activities include Polar Plunges and the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, blood drives through Bonfils, awareness and fundraising during National Child Abuse Prevention month, and more.
