Governor's Colorado Chills Campaign

Governor Hickenlooper's email to all state employess on June 20, 2018 summed up the Colorado Chills campaign:

"When I took office, we launched Cool Biz across state agencies. Cool Biz is a summer energy-saving program that cuts energy use in government buildings and supports our greening government initiative. Air conditioning temperatures were raised slightly to 74 degrees, and we modified our dress code during summer months. We've always supported tie-less Fridays around the state throughout the year. During these summer months, state employees are invited to stay cool and comfortable by removing ties and suit jackets and wearing short-sleeved shirts and blouses as appropriate. We see this as a way of keeping you cooler without dropping AC temperatures just because we may be a bit overdressed. Casual may be cooler - and less expensive - so try no tie."
