Workforce Partners

Workforce programs are delivered in Colorado through 10 federally-recognized local workforce areas.

Under the new Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, Colorado has identified planning regions, which are larger geographic alignments designed to support strategic integration and implementation of programs.

Colorado’s Comprehensive Workforce Centers

There are 13 comprehensive workforce centers in Colorado. A “comprehensive” workforce center or one-stop is defined in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) as one physical location in each local area where all of the relevant programs, services, and activities provided by the required partners are accessible. There is at least one comprehensive workforce center in each of the 10 federally-recognized local workforce areas in the state.
