WORK Act Grant Now Accepting Cycle 5 Applications

June 10, 2019 - The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment is now seeking grant applicants for the fifth cycle of the Skilled Worker Outreach, Recruitment, and Key Training Act (WORK Act). The CWDC executive committee will finalize awards based on recommendations from the grant review committee. We are excited to help get the word out about this opportunity for our partners who provide training programs for in-demand industries. The application window closes on June 19.

The WORK Act Grant is a matching grant program that provides funding to help organizations promote their skilled worker training programs such as apprenticeships, pre-apprenticeships, bootcamps, associate degrees, and certificate programs. Recruiting and enrolling Coloradans in skilled worker training programs is an important strategy for connecting growing industries with new talent and addressing Colorado’s shortage of skilled workers. This year, approximately three million dollars will be provided to eligible grantees.

Government and non-government entities offering a skilled worker training program and partnering with industry in the development of the program could be eligible to apply to this grant. All industries are eligible to apply.

Applications are being accepted through June 19. Learn more and apply at
