She will also provide administrative support to the CWDC’s director and operations team.
Here is some more information about Miranda in her own words:
Hi there! My name is Miranda, and I will be a part of the CWDC’s operations team as the new executive and operations assistant. I moved to Denver when I was four and have called Colorado home for almost all of my life. I attended Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia for undergrad, which granted me opportunities to intern in New York City and work in Boston with major global apparel brands and collaborate with individuals from all around the world. While I thought fashion was my passion, I found myself seeking something more.
I returned to Colorado and completed my master’s degree at Colorado State University. During my time at CSU I was a research and teaching assistant, freelance designer, and academic tutor. While my career path has been varied, one thing has remained consistent through all my positions: my desire to help others and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to pursue their dreams. I am excited to be a part of the CWDC and contribute to Colorado’s evolving economy and workforce. Further, I am thrilled to support the State Rehabilitation Council and the Employment First Advisory Partnership and the great work their members do.
Outside of work I am designing and making my own clothes, attending concerts at many of Denver’s amazing venues, and watching—but no longer playing—soccer. I enjoy taking advantage of Colorado’s great outdoors throughout the year by swimming, biking, running, or skiing.
