TalentFOUND Quarterly Conversations: Aligning Efforts for Enhanced Outcomes

March 14, 2019 - In February, the CWDC convened the first of the 2019 TalentFOUND Quarterly Conversations, bringing together representatives from workforce development, economic development, and chambers of commerce. The discussion focused on the question: What are the roles of workforce boards, economic development, and chambers of commerce in the talent development ecosystem?

Discussion included:

  • What are workforce development, economic development, and chambers each required to do
  • What are each of those partners capable of doing and what are areas of strength
  • Best practices and examples of successful collaborations

The rural conversation took place at Pueblo Community College on Feb. 19. The urban conversation took place at the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce on Feb. 27 and included comments by Governor Polis.

The next TalentFOUND Quarterly Conversations will focus on the roles of workforce development and community colleges in the talent development ecosystem. The urban conversation will be in late May and the rural conversation will be in mid June with confirmed dates coming soon.
