2019 National Career Pathways Network Conference

October 25, 2019 - CWDC staff attended and presented at the 2019 National Career Pathways Network Conference in Orlando, Florida on Oct. 11-13. The National Career Pathways Network (NCPN) is a membership organization dedicated to the advancement of career pathways, career technical education, and workforce development initiatives. The theme of this year’s conference was “Strengthening America’s Future Through Career Pathways,” and over 900 participants representing workforce development, employers, and secondary, postsecondary, and adult education were in attendance.

During the conference CWDC Consultant Thomas Hartman presented a session titled “Building Industry-Driven Career Pathway Systems: A Step-by-Step Guide” to a group of more than 50 attendees. The presentation focused on how to build career pathway systems that align education and training programs with local industries. Hartman shared the CWDC’s step-by-step career pathway building guide, provided examples of developed career pathways, and facilitated discussion about how attendees could implement these practices to build their own career pathway systems.
