SSD Grants Available!

The Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management is happy to announce the availability of funds through the School Security Disbursement (SSD) Program created by the Colorado State Legislature's SB18-269.  The SSD Program provides funding for building improvements, equipment, and training to enhance school security.   

All eligible applications received by the due date of January 5th, 2019 will be reviewed by the Grant Selection Committee.  GSC Members will review submitted applications each week throughout the application period  (11/27/18 - 01/05/19) to stay on track with the time table put forth in the legislation, so please submit your application as soon as possible.  Please see the application for complete instructions on submitting your application.

DHSEM-SER will hold 2 Technical Assistance Calls to allow applicants to ask questions and get help with their applications.  They will be held on 12/03/2018 at 1:00 pm and 12/13/2018 at 9:00 am.  Attendance is not required, you will receive invitations to the calls shortly.  Please feel free to forward this email and the Technical Assistance Call invitations to whomever in your organization will be responsible for applying.
