The Colorado State Patrol asks you to avoid distractions while driving, stay focused and attentive to driving to avoid crashes and keep our roadways safe.

• In 2013 the CSP covered 5104 crashes in which distracted driving was the casual factor. Of these crashes 63 were fatal.

• 11% of all drivers ages 20 and under involved in fatal crashes were distracted at the time of the crash.

• Nationally, cell phone use is the most common distraction.

Did you know you are 23 times more likely to be involved in a crash if you are texting?
