Public Health Personal Care Provider Job Announcement


“Personal Care Services” means: Providing non-skilled assistance to eligible clients with basic activities of daily living, including but not limited to: bathing, dressing, eating, walking, or other form of mobility, toileting, and continence care. It also includes home maker services: light housekeeping, personal laundry, medication reminders. A Personal Care Provider (PCP) will assist with normal, daily activities that the client would perform for him or herself were he or she physically capable of doing so.

These activities are intended to enable an individual to remain safely and comfortably in their own home.

Supervisors make routine home visits with the clients to assure that their needs are being met.

Personal Care Providers must be:

  • Trustworthy
  • Respectful towards client and client’s property
  • Dependable
  • Hard Working
  • Alcohol & Drug Free
  • Able to pass a background screening

*To become a certified Personal Care Provider interested individuals must attend a certification class or pass a skills validation test or hold an active Certified Nursing Assistant License*
