The Administration Office works closely with all County departments and offices to ensure smooth day-to-day business operations. The administrative staff implement policy as directed by the Board of County Commissioners, develop and coordinate County programs, manage special projects and grants, monitor the cost-effectiveness of operations, and maintain partnerships with other local governments, the State of Colorado, and the Federal government to maximize resources and solve problems.

Administrative staff coordinates the Board of County Commissioners meeting calendar and prepares the Board's business agenda. The Administration Office is responsible for Accounts Payable, Human Resources, Payroll, and Benefits. The office processes a monthly payroll for employees and bi-monthly payment of vendors. In addition, the Administration Office coordinates employee benefit programs, maintains a fixed asset inventory, and produces monthly and annual financial statements.

An independent auditor audits the annual financial statements to ensure the fair presentation of the County's financial position. The Administration Office prepares the annual budget presented to the Board of County Commissioners for their approval. Informational materials such as the County's annual audit and budget and brochures on a variety of topics and services are available through the Administration Office.
